CoLab: Bucharest 2018

Proud to announce that I have been invited to and will be speaking at CoLab: Bucharest from 29-31 May 2018. I’m looking forward to my first ever visit to Romania. I will give a talk called ‘The Challenges Of Being A Biological Coffee Farmer’. I will be speaking specifically about starting Finca El Suelo and our progress since we began 3 years ago. This lecture will act as a follow up to my talk at CoLab: Paris in 2015. I am certain that farming processes like the ones we use at Finca El Suelo using soil biology to grow coffee free from pesticides and mineral fertilizers can change the way coffee is grown in the future. The farmers we work with are open to new procedures and we’re constantly improving the quality of coffee available for us to buy and roast, we see a future where soil plays a larger part in these quality advancements. CoLab: Bucharest brings the coffee community together with an audience of international coffee professionals for three days of interactive learning and knowledge sharing. There will be a program of community events that sit either side of a full day of talks, workshops and panels. CoLab is a production of our friends of at the Barista Guild of Europe. Tickets are available here. Hope to see you there.
