What’s Cropping Up – July 2019

Hello Everyone,

Greetings from Spain. I’m supposed to be having a little holiday here for a couple of weeks but of course, certain things cannot be missed… like this monthly email from me to you. That said, July is usually a quiet month for us as it’s the common holiday period here in Norway,  which means a lot of my staff are taking turns sunning themselves somewhere. So I will keep this short and sweet.

What you missed:

– We recently launched our new summer coffee menu, which includes: fresh crop Caballero Geisha and Catuaí, Karogoto  as well the Tatmara Ethiopian Natural, our first natural-processed coffee from Ethiopia since 2009 and the first farm we have bought directly from in the country for a long while.
– For those of you who are SOME-savvy, we have started doing daily/weekly updates from the bar on our Instagram Stories. Be sure to check that out if you want a digital taste of life at Grunersgate 1. And if you’re not following us already, you can do so here: Instagram / Facebook.

What’s next:
– We have just launched The Pledge – a common code for transparency reporting that we and fellow roasters around the world have signed. Our hope is that creating this movement and informing people about it will help curb the catastrophic coffee price crisis and provide a better future for us all who work in the coffee industry, most especially the farmers. You can read more about it here.
– Watch our latest episode of Coffee Subscription Tasting with Friends, with guest Caroline Rødvik. If you haven’t already subscribed to our coffee or are interested in finding out the benefits, check out the link below.

Thank you for your continued interest in who we are and what we do. We wish you a great summer.
Tim & Co.
