Aeropress
Aeropress is one of the most genius brewing devices we have come across.
It is a very simple way of making one cup of excellent coffee or moka (strong coffee like the one from a Bialetti coffee maker.)

Here is our basic Aeropress recipe for a filter like coffee:
- Rinse the paper filter with running tap water for 10 seconds
- Turn the Aeropress upside down with the handle about 1 cm inside the bottom of the Aeropress. (Inverted method)
- Use 14 to 16 grams of freshly filter or slightly fine filter ground coffee (light roast)
- Pour 2dl of water at about 95°C over the coffee.
- Allow 45 to 60 seconds steep time after 3 vigourous stirs.
- Mount the filter and filter holder on the Aeropress.
- Turn the Aeropress around and press the contents into a large cup or pitcher by using your body weight
- Stir the finished coffee and enjoy.
For a stronger coffee similar to the one made on a Bialetti pot, you can follow this recipe:
- Rinse the paper filter with running tap water for 10 seconds
- Use 20 grams of darker roasted coffee (Tim Wendelboe espresso or similar) ground for Bialetti moka pots (quite fine)
- Pour 1 – 1,5 dl of water brought to a boil (straight from the water boiler) on the ground coffee or poured into the aeropress handle before pouring on the coffee for a slightly lower brew water temperature.
- Give the brew 3 vigourous stirs.
- Press by using your body weight and enjoy.
