Producer: IYEGO Farmers Cooperative Society .
Harvest: December 07 to January 2008.
Origin: Mununga, Muranga, Kenya.
Growing conditions: About 1700 m.a.s. Cultivated on sour vulcanic soil.
Farm size: Mix of coffees from several smallholders in Mununga.
Botanical variety: Sl 28 / SL 34 / K20
Processing: Washed. Sundried on african drying beds. The coffee was packed and transported in burlap bags. We vacuumpacked the beans on arrival to Oslo to ensure freshnes and better storage.
Taste description:
Aroma: Intense aromas of melted butter and blackcurrants
Acidity: Mature blackcurrant and grapelike acidity.
Mouthfeel: Marmelade like sweetness. Lively and refreshing.
Flavour: Blackcurrant marmelade, rose hips, hibiscus and raisins.
