San Antonio CoE#11

This was in our opinion the very best coffee at the 2009 Guatemala Cup of Excellence although it only came in 11th place. That is why we payed USD 7.45 per pound for this coffee which is way above market price. 80% of that money goes directly to the Farmer, Mr. Francisco Ovalle, and 20 % is to cover the cost of the Cup of Excellence auction and selection of coffees.
We are big fans of the Cup of Excellence system as we believe its focus on sustainability, quality and transparency is unique and we can clearly see that it works. To find out more about the Cup of Excellence programme, visit their web page.
